Sir,

I have the honour to forward copy of a letter received from the Superintendent of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company in which he informs me that from this date, he cannot accept any further distressed seamen for conveyance to England except by those of the Company's vessels which are despatched direct to the United Kingdom.
